Mixo's Harmony Hop

Made in 7 days for Bigmode Game Jam 2023. 

Mixo's Harmony Hop is a 2D platformer following the adventure of Mixo across musical landscapes. The theme for this game jam was "Mode". My interpretation of this theme was to use musical modes (a set of scales that evoke unique emotions and tones in music). 

The goal of the game is to memorize sequences of notes and to hop between them in the correct sequence to gain access to the next level. Good luck! 

Controls: 

Move left: A or ← 

Move right: D or → 

Spacebar: Jump

Clicking on platforms with your mouse will play the note back to you

Music Mode:

Left and right will change the current playing song. Click to feed the fish! Esc to return to the Main Menu.

This game represents my foray into the world of game jams, and I had a great time crafting it. Thank you for playing!
